Arrived In chang mai. Went to a traditional Thai dance show... more like a thing for the tourists. Met an Irish couple there who are both techhies so talked shop for an hr or so... All web companies seem the same.
The show was good except the dancers looked as if they had done this night after night...actually they had so I can understand how they look bored to death.
When we got there we sat in long rows and we were the only 3 there. A second later the whole room was filled with a Thai family... must have been a family night out. One of the the Thai mums jumped up on the stage while they were dancing for her photo. Next everyone was up on stage including this thai grandfather who was giving it everything. It was hilarious, it was like everebodies most embarrassing relation... which I'm sure we all have...
Note for mum it was as bad as grandad bill up on stage. I think the young girl of the family was embarrassed.
Chang Mai is beautiful, not had chance to look around though. It's a big city but not like Bangkok, it has retained some of it's oldness. More exploring tomorrow.
